Stanley: I want to let you know how deeply saddened I am by Ruth's sudden death. I have a clear memory of her lively spirit, her commitment to psychology and to the arts, and to those less fortunate. I was very moved by the service Friday, by the testimonials by her daughter and brother and your son. It was quite beautiful. i am sorry not to be able to visit you while sitting shiva. I left Friday's service to go to Fort Lauderdale to dismantle my parent's home so that my mother can move to Bethesda near my sisters after my father's death last April. I have many fond memories of Ruth, especially the time you all hosted a dinner for the Wynne Center Board at your beatiful home, the time you visited my parents in Fort Lauderdale and my mother took us to the Museum of Art there, and most recently, the beautiful party you threw her this summer for her 80th birthday. She was surrounded by family and friends and seemed to be so happy in the moment. I will call or write sometime soon. David and I would like to have you to the house for dinner. I wish you peace during this difficult time, Susan
