Survived by wife, Ruth Stein Sommer; daughters, Susan Sommer (Dawn Beckman) and Peggy Magiera (Bob); son, Henry Sommer (Beth); brother, Eli Sommer (Jenny); grandchildren, Amy (fiancé Christopher) and Randy Magiera, Ethan (Alison) and Aaron Sommer, Ben and Maya Sommer; great granddaughter, Kaylee Sommer a niece and several nephews.
Funeral services and interment were held in Rochester, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Physicians for Social Responsibility or UNICEF.
