Service Info Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1 PM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B’rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue.
Visitation Info Immediately following the funeral, the family will receive friends in the Adult Lounge of Temple B’rith Kodesh until 7 PM. A period of mourning will continue at 1600 East Avenue, Apt. 604 on Friday 1-4 PM and Sunday 1-4 PM.

Biography

Leonard Elliot

Brighton:  February 16, 2010 at age 89.  Predeceased by his parents, Edward & Ann Goldstein; sister, Sybil Kaplan Moses.  He is survived by his loving wife, Florence; children,  Diane (Burt Jacobson), Wendy (John Schilb), Joel (Lisa), Vicki (David Levine); grandchildren, Sam Elliot, Jeremy & Benji Levine; nieces & nephews. 
 
Leonard was a decorated Veteran of World War II, who served four years with distinction.  He was a talented pianist & classically trained guitarist who loved music and teaching it to others.  For 18 years, he served as Musical Director at Congregation Hakafa.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1 PM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B’rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue.  Click here for directions to Temple B'rith Kodesh.  Interment, White Haven Memorial Park.

I was saddened to read of Leonard's passing. He taught me to play classical guitar many years ago in his home in Glencoe. He was patient, encouraging, and a great teacher. He made a lifelong foot print in my heart. My thoughts are with you, Florence.
